Overview
Once forms are assigned to your assets in Oriyent, they become accessible to users for data collection. Whether you’re on-site or at your desk, completing these forms accurately ensures inspections are tracked, compliant, and synced back to your project dashboard.
This guide walks through how to access, complete, and submit an assigned form.
What You’ll Need
A Creator or Collaborator account
At least one form assigned to an asset
Internet access (or offline mode enabled)
Device with web browser (desktop, tablet, or mobile)
How to Access Your Assigned Form
Option 1: From the Map
Open the Map View
Click on the asset graphic
In the asset popup, select the assigned form
Click Open Form or Edit directly in the Popup
Option 2: From the Data tab
Go to the Data section
Click on a specific asset
Under Assigned Forms, choose the form you want to complete
Click Open
Option 3: Via QR Code
Scan the QR code associated with the asset using your device
The assigned form will open in your browser
Option 4: From the Form Tab
Go to the Form section
Search and click on a specific form
Click Edit.
Filling Out the Form
Enter information into each field as needed
Use dropdowns, number inputs, yes/no switches, and text boxes
Upload photos, videos, or documents if attachments are enabled
Toggled fields like Required, Timestamp, or Location will collect additional data automatically
Required fields must be completed before submission.
Timestamp and location data will auto-capture during entry (if enabled)
Saving and Submitting
Click Save Draft if you need to return later
Once all required fields are complete, click Submit
After submission:
Progress will update in real-time
The asset color will reflect the updated completion status
Submitted data becomes read-only
What Happens Next?
The form is locked to prevent accidental edits
Your progress contributes to the asset’s and collection’s status
Admins and collaborators can view or export completed submissions
