Overview

Oriyent’s Map View gives you a real-time visual representation of inspection progress across all mapped assets. Each asset is color-coded based on the completion status of assigned forms. This allows you to quickly spot incomplete inspections, identify active areas, and track work zone by zone.

This guide explains what the map colors mean and how to interpret progress visually.

What You’ll Need

  • A project with imported asset data (with GPS coordinates)

  • At least one assigned form per asset

  • Location permissions enabled for mobile submissions (if using field staff)

Understanding Map Colors

Each asset on the map updates automatically based on the status of its assigned forms:

Color

Meaning

⚪ Grey

No forms assigned

🔴 Red

Forms assigned, but not started

🟡 Orange to Yellow

Forms partially completed (some required fields filled)

🟢 Green

All required fields completed (form marked as complete)

asset change color as data is filled in — providing instant visual feedback across the entire project.

How to View Progress on the Map

  1. Go to the Map tab from the dashboard

  2. Zoom or pan to your desired area

  3. Hover over or click an asset pin to see:

    • Asset ID or name

    • Assigned forms

    • Completion percentage

  4. Use the search bar or filters to narrow down views by:

    • Form name

    • Completion status

    • Data group or collection

Using Collections for Zone-Based Tracking

You can draw zones on the map to track grouped progress by location:

  • Click Create Collection

  • Draw a boundary around a group of assets

  • Name the collection (e.g., PAPI Lights – East Zone)

  • The map will now show aggregate progress for that zone

Collections are ideal for reporting progress by subcontractor, region, or asset type.

What Happens Next?

As field teams complete assigned forms:

  • Asset pins update in real-time (if online) or sync once back online

  • Collections dynamically reflect progress as forms are submitted

  • Supervisors can quickly identify overdue or untouched zones

This provides a highly visual, reliable way to oversee multiple teams and track productivity.

Troubleshooting Tips

Issue

Solution

Assets not showing on the map

Ensure GPS data (lat/long) is included during asset import

Colors not updating

Confirm required fields were completed and saved

Progress stuck at 0%

Check if the form has the “Required” toggle enabled

No form assigned, still red

Grey = no forms; red = assigned but untouched
