Overview

Once your asset register is uploaded to Oriyent, the next step is to connect your inspection or tracking templates to those assets. Oriyent makes it easy to assign forms individually or in bulk — whether you’re managing 5 or 5,000 assets.

Assigned forms are then visible in the Map View, color-coded by progress, and available via QR code or web portal for completion.

Step-by-Step: Assigning Forms to Assets

Go to the Data Tab

  • Open your project

  • Click on the Data tab in the top menu

  • Select the relevant Data Group that contains your assets

Select the Assets

  • Use the checkboxes to select one or multiple assets

  • To select all assets in the group, use the checkbox at the top of the table

Click “Assign Forms to Data Group”

  • After selecting assets, click the Assign Forms button

  • A pop-up will show a list of available templates you’ve created in the Template Designer

Choose the Template(s)

  • Select one or more forms to assign

  • Click Assign

  • Oriyent will now link those forms to each selected asset

Each asset now contains one or more active forms that can be filled out, tracked, and visualized on the map.

Reassigning or Updating Forms

  • To remove a form from an asset:

    1. Click the asset row

    2. Open the form link panel

    3. Click Unassign or remove specific forms

  • To assign a different form: repeat the bulk action steps with the new form selected

Assigned forms can be updated or changed at any time — progress is saved independently per form.

Using Forms in Map View

  • After assignment, assets with forms appear on the Map

  • Color coding reflects form completion:

    • 🔴 Not started

    • 🟡 In progress

    • 🟢 Completed

You can also create Collections to group assets by area and track form completion by zone.

Best Practices

  • Assign forms in bulk when managing large datasets

  • Use clear naming for templates to avoid confusion

  • Don’t forget to attach manuals or references during template creation — they’ll appear within the asset record
